Article summary

When you create a new in-app message in Copilot.cx, you can choose from a range of options for each call to action.

This allows you to define exactly what happens when a user clicks on a button, whether it's opening an iOS rating pop-up or launching a retail store.

Let's look at each of these actions one by one, from the simplest to the more complex and customizable:

  • Dismiss – Close the pop-up and continue using the app.
  • Rate Us – Open a native rating module for Android or iOS depending on the user's operating system.
  • Share – Open the native sharing module for text and links so the user can share via Facebook, email, and other channels.
  • Link – Open a link in a web browser within the app so the user can immediately return to where they were. This is a great option for online videos and tutorials.
  • App Navigation – Open a specific screen or do a specific action within the app. This is ideal for feature release messages when you want to help the user find your latest feature (NOTE: Actions should be supported in the app itself, read more here).
  • Send Email – Open the native email app for the user with a predefined email address. You can also choose the subject line and content in advance to save the user time. This can be helpful for reaching out to support without the user needing to write a long explanation.
  • Walmart/Amazon Purchase – If the user has the Walmart or Amazon app, this will open the page of a specific product and add it to the cart. If the user doesn't have the app, it will open in a web page in their browser. This has been proven to boost conversion rates by dramatically reducing the number of clicks to purchase.
  • Walmart/Amazon Review If the user has the Walmart or Amazon app, this will open the rating page for a specific product. If the user doesn't have the app, it will open in a web page in their browser.
  • Tel – Open the native phone app to call a predefined number.
