Article summary

Every click between your initial CTA and the user's end goal can reduce your final conversion by 80%.

So by using in-app navigation to send users directly to a subscription or feature page, you can multiply your conversion rates by 10-20 times.

Let's look at how you can do this.

Set the right triggers

When planning an in-app message, you want to set your trigger to show in the closest location to your end goal. For example, promoting a new feature on the screen where it can actually be used. Or, you could even change the screen in your app to allow for the best result.

But just like we do with retail store sales and ratings in Copilot.cx, you can send users from your CTA to the best possible location for them to achieve your goal.

Instruct your dev team

App navigation is a custom action your app takes according to your configuration of the in-app on the Copilot.cx console.

This means you need to talk to your dev team and ask them to implement the action when commanded via the Copilot.cx SDK. Then you'll be able to use the same navigation in the Copilot.cx platform.

Since this is entirely customizable, the instruction goes something like this: “Please add the command ‘go_to_subscription_page’ in the app with the Copilot.cx SDK and lead the user directly to the subscription page when called”.

Create the in-app

All you have to do now is create the in-app, select the “App Navigation” in-app action, and set the corresponding command.

Make sure to test the in-app thoroughly to validate that the command you entered was correct and your app navigation works as you expected.
